Meg. Esther is an Android application designed to enhance the experience of the Jewish holiday of Purim by providing an interactive way to read the Megillah of Esther. It's specifically tailored for Purim festivities, allowing engagement with the text and the customs surrounding the celebration.

The app features a full digital text of the Megillah, allowing navigation verse by verse with a simple finger swipe. Besides the text, it includes the traditional blessings and songs associated with the holiday. One noteworthy feature is the simulation of the noise of a grager—a noisemaker traditionally used during Purim—to blot out Haman's name each time it is mentioned.

Diving deeper into the celebratory spirit, users have access to an assortment of sounds that can be played to mimic the festive din, from crowd booing and air horns to firecrackers and machine gun noises. These digital sound effects ensure that participants can partake in the customs without needing physical noisemakers.

Additional noise-making sounds are available for purchase, providing a wider variety for customizing celebrations with various creative auditory effects. Scrollable texts, Trup (cantoral marks), and a Hebrew-only text option, create an immersive reading experience.
